The UI Builder's two side panels took a lot of room on a laptop. They now fold away, the way they do in Draw.
The behaviour
The left panel and the Inspector each have a button that folds them to a 44px rail. The left rail keeps its five tabs, stacked, and pressing one opens the panel on that tab. The Inspector's rail keeps its button and its name. Ctrl+\ shows or hides both at once, and the choice is remembered.
The canvas refits to the new room. This exposed a small bug: at zoom levels other than Scale to fit, the selection frame didn't follow the layer when the room changed, because the viewport ignored resizes outside Scale to fit. It follows now.
Separate preferences for Code mode
Design, Animation and Compare share one setting, but Code mode keeps its own. Code mode has always wanted Layers open and the Inspector folded, and I didn't want folding a panel while animating to change that. The old Code-mode setting is still read, so nobody's layout resets.
Smaller fixes
- Alt+1 to Alt+5 and the tour open a folded panel on their tab, so shortcuts don't appear to do nothing.
- The Inspector's button no longer sits on top of the head's "more actions" button, which it did in Code mode.
- Phones and tablets keep their sheets instead of rails.
- The icon set gained
corner,panel-leftandpanel-right.
The rules live in panel-prefs.js, with tests in panel-prefs.test.js and keybinds-panels.test.js.
