EU DSA IP infringement reporting

This section provides information on how Roblox handles intellectual property ("IP") infringement notices under the European Union's Digital Services Act ("DSA"). If you're in the EU or the DSA otherwise applies to you, you may submit a notice under the DSA.

To report illegal content that isn't an IP infringement, see Reporting Illegal Content in the European Union in the Roblox Help Center.

If you are reporting a violation

How to submit a DSA notice to Roblox

IP rights owners, their authorized licensees and their agents may report any content on Roblox that they believe infringes their IP rights by providing a notice to us. If you wish to report content under the DSA, please use:

Email: dsa-ip-reporting@roblox.com

What to include in an intellectual property infringement notice

An IP infringement notice under the DSA should include all of the following:

What happens after you submit a DSA notice on IP infringement

We acknowledge receipt of DSA notices without undue delay.

If we determine that your notice is valid, we will act quickly to take down the allegedly infringing content and notify you and the uploader of the content of its removal. We may forward certain information provided in your IP notice to the user responsible for the reported content where appropriate, including to inform the user why their content was removed. If we cannot determine with sufficient certainty that your notice is valid, we will inform you about this decision.

If you are a Roblox user whose content or account was moderated

If your content is removed due to an IP notice or if your account is suspended or terminated under our IP Policy, Roblox will notify you through Roblox's messaging system and by email (if a verified email address is associated with your account). We strongly encourage you to link an email to your account as a security precaution and so you receive important notifications.

If you disagree with Roblox's decision on your notice or moderation action

If you disagree with our decision, you may appeal our decision within six months from receiving it, by emailing us at dsa-ip-reporting@roblox.com. Roblox processes appeals in a timely manner and notifies appellants of our decisions without undue delay. If we determine that your appeal is valid, we will reverse our decision and promptly take the appropriate action (for example, restoring content or account).

What to include in an appeal

You may also select a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body to resolve disputes relating to a content moderation decision we take, or seek judicial redress. The European Commission has a list of accredited out-of-court dispute settlement bodies for this purpose.
